STAR Literacy Programme adopts a Systematic Teaching Approach to Reading. Combining both the phonetic and the whole language approach, it provides children with a fun and enriching journey to learning how to read, write and speak. This set of STAR readers is designed in accordance with the sounds taught to the children, from the basic consonant to blends, diphthongs and digraphs. It also introduces high-frequency sight words in each story. Each story is written to rouse the children’s curiosity and eagerness to reach out for the books again.
